Projects for Spring and Summer '10
Priority Number One
Finishing my dissertation. Defense deadline is June 15th. Wish me luck!
Things I'm doing in my personal time (and occasionally at work, even though
I'm not supposed to):
Walking. Good for the heart (and mind).
Feeding the ducks at the pond on campus. And sometimes the geese, although the Canadians just
aren't that friendly to me.
Taking math classes. Because I want to. Yes really.
On the current reading list...
- Harm de Blij's "The Power of Place"
- "The Faery Teachings" by Orion Foxwood
- "1215: The Year of Magna Carta"
Things to know...
- One of my favorite recipes is Bill
Neal's Mexican Cornbread.
- I'm a Brother of The Ganymedean Society
and an alumnus of the Oklahoma Chapter of Triangle
Fraternity.
- I prefer Delta over all other airlines.
- I long for disposable income because I long to travel. I went to England in 2007 and have
been itching to go back every day since.
- My favorite musical performers are John
Mayer and Lifehouse, in no particular
order.
- Only recently did I actually realize the difference between "summer tennis shoes" and
"winter tennis shoes." My aunt (r.i.p.) would be so proud!!
- I've recently become very fond of classical music. It makes me a lot less angry
at the world, and I curse a lot less, too.
- Ever want to see the Gate to Hell? It's B-84 in Houston Intercontential Airport.
My more formal work page is always available,
and always under construction.
